Moorhead Public Service (MPS) is accepting applications for a Water Plant
Supervisor.

Under limited supervision, this position has the overall responsibility to
direct and control staff and equipment of Moorhead Public Service’s Water Treatment
Plant, Water Treatment Plant Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) and
Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, raw water pumping
stations, and finished water pumping stations and reservoirs.

This position is directly
responsible for implementation of the Water Treatment Plant’s work plan, productivity,
effectiveness, and policy enforcement; ensuring safe working procedures and conditions;
and assisting in laboratory activities.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree with curriculum in chemistry,
biology, environmental chemistry, civil sanitary engineering, or related field; five years
of progressively responsible experience in the operation of a surface water and lime
softening treatment plant; and three years of supervisory and/or lead work responsibility.

Desired qualifications include an advanced degree, equaling a Master's degree, in
engineering or science, and two years of ozone disinfection experience.

The 2024 salary range for this position is between $8,582 and $13,203 monthly.The
starting salary will be dependent upon experience and education. Excellent health
