Capture the Wind's First Wind Turbine Named

You can call me "Zephyr"
MPS is pleased to announce the winners of the Capture The Wind^® "Name That Turbine" contest. Over 200 Capture The Wind^® members responded to the call for names for the generator formerly known as "turbine 1".

The turbine was officially dubbed "Zephyr" during Earth Week celebrations on April 25, 2001. The word Zephyr means a gentle of friendly breeze.

Thanks and congratulations to the following Capture The Wind^® members who submitted the winning name: Kelly and Marjorie Aakre, Karl Bakkum, John and Mary Brink, John and Virginia Dohm, Ann Duchscher, Minnesota State University Moorhead, Dennis Heley, Allen Helmsetter, Milton F.
