MOORHEAD PUBLIC
SERVICE COMMISSION APPROVES SECOND WIND TURBINE
Due to the overwhelming success of Moorhead
Public Service's first wind turbine, the implementation plan for a second turbine in
Moorhead received unanimous approval at last night's Moorhead Public Service Commission
Meeting.
Christopher Reed, Energy Services
and Marketing Director for Moorhead Public Service, said, "We are really excited to
be able to offer our customers the opportunity to bring a second wind turbine to
Moorhead."
With 85 customers already on the
waiting list for the next turbine, MPS intends to send information about Capture the
Wind™ membership to its customers later this fall.
"We are looking forward to
bringing another landmark to the community of Moorhead," adds Reed. "We hope to
begin groundbreaking in the spring of 2001.
