REVISED WIND TURBINE CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE
With the base of the tower already set in place and all components on
site, major construction for Moorhead Public Service's second wind turbine
generator is scheduled for Friday, August 17, 2001. Please keep in mind that
it is a tentative schedule, subject to changes in weather, high wind speeds,
and/or problems with equipment. Nevertheless, Christopher Reed, Moorhead
Public Service's energy services and marketing director, anticipates the
newer turbine will be fully assembled and generating electricity by Sunday,
August 19, 2001.
The following information is provided to the media, should they choose to
take video or still photos of the wind turbine construction. Please keep in
mind that this is a construction site. For your safety, if you wish to gain
access to the site, you must be accompanied by either Jennifer Walz
(299-5407) or Christopher Reed (299-5199) of Moorhead Public Service.

9:00 AM - The remaining two pieces of tower are lifted
and set into place. |

12:00 PM - The nacelle is lifted and attached to the
tower. |

1:00 PM - The rotor is lifted into place and attached to
the nacelle. |
