Moorhead Public Service Implements Voluntary Watering Restrictions
Moorhead Public Service (MPS) has implemented voluntary watering restrictions, which will be effective June 1, 2010, to October 1, 2010. MPS’ water shortage emergency plan includes a section on odd‑even lawn‑watering restrictions as follows: Lawn watering and car washing will be limited to all customers by street address. All customers with even‑numbered addresses can use water for lawn watering and car washing on even‑numbered days only. All customers with odd‑numbered addresses can use water for lawn watering and car washing on odd‑numbered days only. The following uses are exempt from the watering restrictions: 1. Gardens 2. Flowers 3. Newly‑planted trees and shrubs 4. Newly‑sodded or seeded lawns
