Watermain Break in North Moorhead

Traffic Reduced To One Lane While Moorhead Public Service Crews Make Repair

This afternoon, Thursday, March 18, 2010, a watermain break was discovered along the 1200 block of 14th Street North in Moorhead. This break is believed to be caused by cold temperatures and aging pipes. 

Moorhead Public Service crews have begun the repair work on this break and will work on the project until the watermain is repaired, which is expected to be sometime around 5:00 pm today. As a result of the repair work, traffic has been reduced to one lane on 14th Street North in the 1200 block until about 5:00 pm. Motorists should use caution in this area. Residents will be without water in this area for a period of time—from about 3:00 pm until about 5:00 pm.
