in rebate checks for energy conservation

Moorhead Public Service issues $38,800 in rebates
for energy-efficient upgrades

Moorhead Public Service (MPS) would like to acknowledge and thank Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) for its participation in energy conservation through MPS’ Bright Energy Solutions^® program.  Through the Bright Energy Solutions^® rebate program, MSUM was awarded $38,800 for energy-efficient upgrades.

In conjunction with MPS’ Bright Energy Solutions^® program, MSUM upgraded to more energy-efficient equipment for lighting, motors, and a chiller at various locations on campus.  This project will save the college an estimated 591,882 kilowatt hours per year.

Bright Energy Solutions^® is a cash-incentive energy conservation program offered by MPS in cooperation with MPS’ power supplier, Missouri River Energy Services. Through this program, MPS encourages both residents and commercial businesses to make improvements that result in more energy-efficient homes and buildings.  Additional information about this program can be found on MPS’ Web site at www.mpsutility.com or by calling 218-299-5400 and talking with Dennis Eisenbraun, MPS’ Energy Services Manager.
