GoMoorhead.com to Serve the Residents of Moorhead

Moorhead Public Service opens access to Internet Service

As the flood flight in Moorhead continues to grow, Moorhead Public Service (MPS) has made available their high-speed Internet service to the residents of Moorhead. As residents fight the rising waters, this Internet service will allow them to get the needed information from the City of Moorhead and the National Weather Service.  As residents may be forced from their homes, this GoMoorhead.com connection will make communication with family and friends more accessible.

If Moorhead residents would like to take advantage of this free Internet service, they can simply connect their wireless device (such as cell phones or laptops) to the "GoMoorhead" wireless signal, open any web browser, and click on the "Flood Access" button.  Because of the expected increase in traffic, Flood Access connections will be allowed to be online for 60 minutes per day.

MPS has also been able to provide Internet access to the Minnesota National Guard and to Emergency First Responders that are temporarily working in our community.  This Internet access has allowed organizations to utilize an Internet connection as they work in their vehicles outside the Emergency Operations Center.

MPS is a community-owned utility serving the residents of Moorhead, Minnesota, with electricity, water, and broadband Internet access.
